Jean Clario Gateaux, dit Blakkayo, né en 1978 à Goodlands, est la grande star de la musique mauricienne. Sa musique allie les sonorités mauriciennes du Seggae, au Reggae et au Dancehall. De son premier album solo "Tchek to life" en 2000 aux collectifs emblématiques OSB puis Solda Kaz Bad (à partir de 2006), Blakkayo est une star et ses concerts toujours un événement. Le charismatique Blakkayo, aux textes engagés et fédérateurs, se positionne comme un des chefs de file de la scène musicale mauricienne. En 2016 il sort "Fierté Nou Zil" une compilation pour soutenir les jeunes artistes mauriciens. 'Soz Serye', son 4 e album solo, sort fin 2020.
