Jean-Alain Roussel est né à Port-Louis en 1951. C’est un pianiste mauricien renommé, à la fois compositeur, arrangeur, musicien et producteur. Jean-Alain Roussel fait partie des rares artistes mauriciens ayant percé à l’international. Durant sa carrière, il a collaboré avec une dizaine d’artistes à la réputation mondiale, notamment Bob Marley & The Wailers sur l’album "Natty Dread" en 1974, Joe Cocker sur "Jamaica Say you will" en 1975, ou encore Celine Dion sur "Incognito" en 1987. En 2016 il était invité par Eric Triton pour participer au second album du groupe Tritonik, "Berlinfluence".
