Né le 15 Juillet 1980, Jerry Rouget est le chanteur du groupe engagé Jerry and the Resistance. Après une enfance à Curepipe, il débute sa carrière fin 1990 avec la formation Revelation Zenfan Malerbe puis connait le succès avec le groupe Omuja. En 2008, il lance Jerry and the Resistance. Le 1er album du groupe ('Why') leur ouvre les portes aux premières parties de Sexion D’Assaut ou MC Janick. Le second album ('L’Heritage seggae' - 2013), est un hommage à Kaya, le créateur du seggae. En 2017, Jerry and Resistance est recompensé du Disque de l’année par Radio Plus pour 'Paké Linz', un morceau de Seggae Hindies avec Ajitha Murday, premier extrait d'un 3e album à venir en 2018...
