Matsonic est un Dj mauricien d'origine chinoise née à La Réunion en 1981. Établit à Pointe aux Sables puis à St Antoine il commence à mixer en 2002. Il se fait un nom en 2005 grâce au concours "Sprite in the Mix" où il termine second. En 2008 il fonde le collectif ILL MO (avec d'autres Dj mauriciens dont Creamcracker, Cheval et Dj END) qui électrise les soirées du Barabar (Grand Baie) de 2011 à 2013. Il mixe ensuite pour les festivals Porlwi by Light, Kaz'Out, Dombeya et lance en 2010 les soirées The Sound of (Lefto, Radioslave...) avec Electrocaïne. Le 3 Mars 2017 il mixe dans le cadre de Dreamers 3, un événement organisé par La Isla Social Club.
