Shekina Mootanah est une pianiste, compositrice et étudiante en architecture, née en 1997.
Passionnée par Chopin et Debussy, elle commence le piano à l'âge de 12 ans, puis crée ses propres compositions à partir de 18 ans, pour "communiquer et m'exprimer, car j'ai réalisé que mes compositions pouvaient toucher les gens". Son premier concert, 'Démocratisons le Piano', a lieu le 4 août 2018 à la Maison Eureka. Shekina Mootanah se révèle au grand public en inaugurant le 13 décembre 2018, devant une salle conquise, le piano Steinway du Caudan Arts Centre, nouveau lieu culturel de Port-Louis inauguré quelques jours auparavant.
