L'ancien leader du groupe Mulaeo se lance en solo en 2017. Steve Brunet, l'homme au béret rouge et natif de Cité Beemanique (Nouvelle France), est la grande révélation de l'année 2017 à Maurice. Son premier album, 'heureux', sorti en septembre 2017 est un succès populaire et engendre même une mini BD. Une chanson attire l'attention, 'Ti Madame là', chantée en duo avec Désiré François. Steve Brunet a démarré jeune et gagne en 2007 le concours 'Pepsi Séga Sanganam'. En 2018, Steve Brunet est programmé pour Dreamers 6 à Aapravasi Ghat et part pour une grande tournée en France.
