Richard Beaugendre est un poète de la musique mauricienne. Multi-instrumentiste, Richard Beaugendre est un des auteurs-compositeurs-interprètes les plus célèbres et appréciés de l'île Maurice. Il commence son parcours en jouant dans les hôtels avec son frère au début des années 1980. L'artiste s'envole ensuite vers La Réunion où il se découvre une passion pour le Jazz. De retour sur son île natale, il participe à la création du Creole Jazz Band. Richard Beaugendre a sorti en solo six albums aux frontières du séga et du jazz, notamment "Santé" (2000), "Sunbeam Tropical" (2004) , "13'Or" (2013) et dernièrement "Yapana" en février 2018.
